Hemingsworth’s first-ever Autumn/Winter collection
Classic sporting styles revised for the now, with substance and luxury. Unmistakably Hemingsworth
Inspired by classic sporting styles, updated with modern fabrics, Hemingsworth has released their first-ever Autumn/Winter collection, broadening the range of the modern globetrotter into new climates with luxury and comfort. Hemingsworth is the epitome of premium British menswear, without limits. The whole collection is made in England by expert craftspeople using the finest materials.
“Building on the nonchalant pillars of inspiration throughout Hemingsworth’s life, ICON’s Origins evokes the origin stories of our influencers, back to where their epitomised style was often born, tested and transitioned these individuals to become even greater.
AW21 elicits this transition, complimenting and enhancing our existing range with a celebration of performance capability and styling to withstand tougher environments and colder climes”
– Henry Butler
Ready to wear
The collection is perfectly tailored for the transitioning fall season, offering myriad options for combining and layering pieces as the long nights draw in and the temperature drops. The collection retains Hemingsworth’s unmistakable pared back silhouettes while using warm, luxurious technical fabrics that perform whether you’re taking a wild swim in the morning or hosting in the cabin as the nights draw in.
The Ice Breaker is an expedition-quality gilet that uses 1000 fill goose down – the highest grade of European goose down – providing an unsurpassed lever of warmth and lightness that will bring a sense of luxury to the most challenging weather conditions.
The Skipper is Hemingsworth’s take on the classic Varsity rowing club sweater. Knitted in Nottinghamshire, the Skipper uses Zegna Baruffa Cashmere Merino 10 ply knit for light weight and super-soft touch with a high roll-neck for comfort and warmth.
Inspired by early mornings on the water the Coxswain is a woven wool fleece jacket with high neck and high pile. The zip front closure and natural stretch make this a versatile piece for active pursuits. Cut close to the body it is ideal as an outer or mid-layer.
The Oarsman is an easy-fitting slipover hooded sweatshirt made with extra-long-staple Supima cotton. The French Terry loopback jersey material is knitted, cut and sewn within a 10-mile radius in England. A Raglan sleeve allows full freedom of movement and extra body length ensures extra warmth.
Also drawing on rowing for inspiration, the Boat House is a nautical shawl neck pullover knitted in Nottinghamshire using Cashmere Merino yarn that is given a Teflon finish for ultimate water-resistance, providing the combination of luxury and performance for which Hemingsworth is famed.
New wardrobe-favourites made to last for years
The Hemingway, Hemingsworth’s upscale take on a classic safari jacket is given extra resilience for the winter months with the use of dry-waxed air tumbled cotton, which provides weather resistance and a soft natural feel.
Inspired by the Riviera style of Cary Grant in To Catch a Thief, the Robie fine knit crew neck in Zegna Barrufa Cashwool merino has a seamless construction for luxurious comfort against the skin, perfect beneath a jacket or as a top layer.
Varsity sports are an inspiration which runs through Hemingsworth’s AW21 collection. The Varsity Track Jacket elevates classic sportswear to the Hemingsworth level of luxury. Made in the UK using wool/cashmere blend, the jacket sports a bomber-style collar and patch hand-warming pockets.
